GENERAL SESSION REFEREED PAPERS
The 2001 USENIX Technical Conference seeks original and
innovative papers about the applications, architecture, implementation,
and performance of modern computing systems. As at all USENIX conferences,
papers that analyze problem areas and draw important conclusions from
practical experience are especially welcome. Some particularly interesting
application topics are:
- Cluster computing
- Complexity management
- Distributed caching and replication
- Extensible operating systems
- File systems and storage systems
- Interoperability of heterogeneous systems
- Mobile code
- Mobile computing
- Networking and network services
- Multimedia
- Pervasive computing
- Reliability and QoS
- Security and privacy
- Web technologies
Cash prizes will be awarded for the best papers at the conference. In 1999
the following papers received best paper awards:
