Linux Essentials. LPI 010 exam. 40 multiple-choice questions. 60 minutes. Tests abilities to use basic command line editor and to demonstrate an understanding of processes, programs, and components of the Linux Operating System. Certificate does not expire. |

LPIC-1. LPI 101 and LPI 102 exams. Each contains 60 multiple-choice or fill-in-the-blank questions. 90 minutes each. Tests abilities to perform maintenance tasks with the command line, install and configure a computer running Linux, and configure basic networking. Certification valid for five years. |

LPIC-2. LPI 201 and LPI 202 exams. Each contains 60 multiple-choice or fill-in-the-blank questions. 90 minutes each. Tests ability to administer small- to medium–sized mixed networks. Certification valid for five years. |
