Norman Sadeh is a Professor of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University, where among other things he co-founded and co-directs the Privacy Engineering Master's Program. Norman's primary research interests span mobile & IoT, cybersecurity, privacy and Artificial Intelligence. He was founding CEO and Chairman of Wombat Security Technologies, a company that grew to over 200 employees, prior to being acquired by Proofpoint for $225M in March 2018. In the late nineties, Norman also served as Chief Scientist of the European Commission's 550M EUR research initiative in e-Commerce, which at the time included all pan-European research in cybersecurity and privacy and related policy initiatives.
