TECHNICAL TRACK AND SYMPOSIAThe Program Committee invites authors to submit papers for refereeing, or proposals for symposium presentations, on any aspect of network and system administration. Contributions will be judged for their clarity, technical content, timeliness, and originality.Papers should be original works, reported in the context of 'the big picture', i.e. referring to past work, and suggesting directions for future research. The year 2001 is ripe with symbolism and we wish to celebrate this with a visionary LISA, which looks forward to new challenges, possibilities, and technologies. We particularly encourage contributions which:
This year we introduce the concept of "short paper", for topics which we judge to be of sufficient interest interest to the conference, but which do not require a full paper. Short papers will have a page limit of 4-6 pages. Authors may submit a paper for consideration as a short paper, or the paper referees may recommend acceptance as a short paper. The final decision will be made by the program committee.
