The actual amount of code in the LCFG system is comparatively small
and we believe that the concepts are more significant than the
implementation. However, we do intend to make the software available, and
we would like to see it adopted more widely. This includes
a number of components:
- The code which takes the LCFG files and transforms them into a
single resource map.
- The common subroutines used by the subsystem scripts.
- The subsystem scripts themselves.
- The install subsystem.
- updaterpms.
As discussed above, the first four of these are currently being
redesigned and we intend to release the new versions as soon as they
are available. The current version of updaterpms is available
via https://www.dcs.ed.ac.uk/~ajs/.
