The new application software that was developed in support
of this system is currently proprietary and closed source.
Driver enhancements have been sent upstream, of course.
The Open Source development model is not yet useful in
this area, due to a shortage of relevant expertise
in the technical teams of the collaborating organizations.
Hopefully, this will change in the new future ?
