- For this experiment, a machine is idle if the keyboard and mouse have
not been touched for 15 minutes and the 1, 5, and 15 minute processor load
averages are below 0.35, 0.30, and 0.25 respectively. These load-average
thresholds are reasonable but also somewhat arbitrary.
