Notes:
Long phone trace story, part 1.
Contacted Ameritech to do a trace of the call (which was still in progress).
Short version is that I talked to a bunch of phone switch engineers, and found that:
- They didn’t all speak the same language
- They were all convinced that our modem pool connected through the OSU central office (it didn’t)
- I didn’t have the information that they needed to start the trace
Before I got off the phone, they taught me a new mantra to say when I called into The Phone Company the next day. He said that I should say "I would like you to trace a call from the LittleCity 11 DC2 office, short silly (CLLI) DIDXXY, trunk 121, channel
