Notes:

Kimbol Soques of AMD spoke about her team’s need to roll out over 6000 workstations over the next 3 years. They developed a system to do this based on cloning the hard drive of a completely configured machine. Then they discovered that this is not supported by Microsoft because it results in identical security Ids (SIDs) on every machine. This will mess up SMS on large networks and will also prevent NT 5.0 from working properly. Isn’t that SPECIAL?

BTW, http://www.microsoft.com/kb is a good place for information

Rumor has it that there are some companies working on a fix for this problem. The makers of Ghost are one.
