I’d like to talk a bit in general about each category and the papers. The full presentation for most of these papers is available on the USENIX web site. I’ll give you the reference to it at the end of my talk.
When we started this, we had a list in our minds of the kinds of things that would come in as papers. We were somewhat surprised at some of the things that were missing. Like backups… Sure, there are more backup products for NT than there were for UNIX a few years back, but surely someone must be having some success or failure with a backup project… Also missing were a lot of individual talks on security. And task automation with Perl (or python or whatever).
