Abstract:

The campus is largely using NT for file sharing and small servers to date. However we will be faced with installing, running, maintaining a very large number of NT servers to run Peoplesoft Middleware as the campus migrates from running it's business from a IBM mainframe environment to NT/Unix client server. We are very interested in the scalablity of NT for this environment.

We are also in the beginnings of implementing ATM on campus, we have already replaced part of our backbone network with ATM. We are planning on migrating most of campus to ATM to better use workstation telephony and video over ATM.
