Abstract:

Our Shrimp (Scalable High-performance Really Inexpensive MultiProcessor) project at Princeton studies issues of how to use a network of PCs to construct high-performance servers. We have built several prototype systems. Currently, we are running Linux operating systems on the PC nodes. We plan to move to NT. My goal to go to the workshop is to learn about what is going on there and decide when to move to NT operating system.
