Abstract:

Our campus NIC enviroment is currently a cluster of Unix machines, using DQS as the queuing system. We are preparing to add Windows-NT on Intel processors to this service.

We expect to port DQS to Windows-NT.

We will be integrating the central filesystem and authentication database onto the Windows-NT systems. We currently use AFS as the central filesystem and authentication database, but are currently testing and planning a migration to DCE/DFS.

We expect to support scientific computation packages, such as Maple and NAG, as well as provide parallel programming support using MPI on the Windows-NT systems.
