Abstract:

The research that I am involved with concerns the issues involved in moving from a UNIX platform on the production floor to an NT platform for product testing and data collection. One of the greatest concerns is achieving bi-directional communication with the product we are building.

The other issues with which I am interested with are the WIN32 SDK development environment optimization of executables. I am involved with real time information systems on the NT platform using IE to connect to databases on UNIX and NT. I hope to use the IE to let the user formulate queries, custom format the output to their PC, and have the client/server update each one-minute.
