Abstract:
Distributed systems technologies have culminated in the current round of Multicomputers or Cluster products. Some clustering products are aimed at solving higher availability, others are directed towards scalable computing. This panel will bring leaders of some of the different clusters projects together to explore different tradeoffs, such as message interfaces, file systems, single system image/levels of transparency, performance, NORMA vs NUMA archiectures.
