Program
The LISA program offers a wide variety of ways to learn from your peers and experts.
Training Program
The LISA training program runs for the duration of the event, and includes half-day or full-day sessions taught by industry experts. Instructors typically share knowledge, rather than lead open discussions.
Workshops
Workshops will take place Sunday-Tuesday, and are half-day or full-day sessions for small groups (typically no more than 30 people) to share ideas and knowledge. Workshops are intended to be participatory, not instructional, and familiarity with the specific topic/area is expected of the attendees.
Technical Sessions
The LISA technical sessions run Wednesday-Friday and are comprised of the following elements:
Guru Is In
These sessions are a chance to share your expertise with your fellow system administrators. For the audience, these are a chance to get your questions on a specific topic or technology answered by an acknowledged expert.
Invited Talks
Talks are 30- or 60-minute presentations by experts on a single topic of interest to the devops, system, and network administration community.
Refereed Paper Presentations
Refereed papers describe new techniques, tools, theory, or inventions, or present case histories that extend our understanding of system and network administration. They present new ideas, backed by repeatable methodology, in the context of previous related work. Refereed papers will be published in the proceedings and the author(s) will give a 20-minute presentation followed by a 10-minute Q&A session.
