To enhance your LISA conference experience, attendee events are held throughout the week. Attend
the very popular Birds-of-a-Feather sessions (BoFs). Mingle with your peers and with technological
luminaries during the receptions. Please check back here for the latest additions to the activities

Welcome Get-Together and Conference Orientation Saturday, December 3, 6:00 p.m.–7:30 p.m., Back Bay C Whether this is your first time at LISA or
your twentieth, stop by the Welcome Get-Together and Conference Orientation to learn how to get the
most out of the conference. The orientation includes an overview of Boston, an introduction to LISA,
and an opportunity to meet your peers. Refreshments and snacks provided.
Board Game Night Sunday, December
4, 8:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m., Hampton Join us on Sunday night for some good old-fashioned board games. Take a step back
into the past and test your knowledge playing the Totally 80s edition of Trivial Pursuit. Challenge
your fellow attendees to a game of Scrabble or Pictionary. Bring your own games, too!

Vendor Passports and iPad Raffle Win an iPad 2! Look for
your vendor passport in your attendee bag. Visit the booths on your passport and get all your
squares stamped to be eligible for the iPad 2 raffle. The raffle drawing will take place on Thursday
at 1:20 p.m. in the exhibit hall. You must be present to win. Good luck!

cool new ideas and the latest preliminary work on display at the Poster Sessions. Take advantage of
an opportunity to mingle with colleagues who may be interested in the same area. The list of

Reception for the 25th LISA Thursday, December 8, 6:30 p.m.–8:00 p.m., Grand Ballroom Jump in the time machine and take stroll
through LISAs past while enjoying dinner and drinks. From photos to awards to stories, we'll give
you a fun look back. Since it all began in the '80s, we hope you'll join us by wearing your favorite
'80s attire. There will be a prize for best costume (extra points if you're sporting '80s LISA
gear). Don't miss the chance to see how LISA became the event it is today. You never know what surprises we'll have in store!
The LISA Game Show—It's Baaaack! Thursday, December 8, 8:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m., Constitution Ballroom In honor of the 25th LISA, we're bringing
back the very popular LISA Game Show. Join us Thursday night after the reception as we once again
pit attendees against each other in a test of technical knowledge and cultural trivia. Host Rob
Kolstad and sidekick Dan Klein will provide the questions and color commentary for this always
memorable event. Want to
participate? Qualification quizzes are available at the Membership Booth. They must be turned in by
3:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 8. The names of the players selected will be announced at 5
p.m. Thursday evening. Don't miss the opportunity to show the LISA crowd what you've got!
LISA '11 Scavenger Hunt
In keeping with the time travel theme
at this year's LISA, we've brought back the LISA scavenger hunt. Inside your registration packet
you'll find a LISA '11 Scavenger Hunt Card. The 2011 questions contain not only characteristics of
folks who help to organize or are participating in LISA, but also questions about your favorite time
travel and adventure movies and TV shows. Use your finest sleuthing skills to locate people who fit
the bill or know the answers to the trivia questions. Take a moment to chat with them, and ask them
politely for their signatures. All you need to win are 10 signatures. Once you've got your 10, drop
by the USENIX Membership Booth to spin the Prize Wheel. Prizes range from T-shirts to free
conference passes and more. Don't miss out on the fun: Join the LISA '11 Scavenger Hunt and spin to
win!
Birds-of-a-Feather Sessions (BoFs) Monday–Thursday evenings, December 5–8 It's not too late to schedule a BoF!
Stop by the USENIX Registration Desk to reserve a space for a BoF session. Rooms are available
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings. The always popular evening Birds-of-a-Feather
sessions are very informal gatherings of persons interested in a particular topic. Check the BoF
Boards in the registration area for the latest schedule and room locations. The schedule is also
