Notes:
We finally get permission to set up pen registers. These attach to the phone line going to a suspect’s house and record the calling number for all incoming calls (caller-id) and the called number for all outgoing calls.
There’s a collection station (strange old laptop with lousy software) that receives this information from the devices.
