Internet Access
USENIX is pleased to offer free wireless Internet access for LISA '12. The wireless SSID is “usenix”; the network is open and insecure, so attendees are encouraged to use encryption.
Computers provided for registration may be used for general Internet access after 9:00 a.m. and before 4:00 p.m. daily. A printer is available in the registration area and can be used via the registration computers or via the IP address listed on the front of the printer.
For network assistance please visit the USENIX registration desk.
The wired and wireless networks provided by USENIX at this conference are for the use of conference attendees only, subject to the following conditions:
- The network may be monitored.
- Any illicit or intrusive use of the network, including packet sniffing, is expressly forbidden.
- The wireless network is open and insecure. USENIX strongly recommends that all users encrypt their transmissions. Users are solely responsible for the security of their passwords and data.
If you have any questions or concerns about the use of these networks, please contact any USENIX staff or Board member immediately.
Power Outlets
Power strips will be available to attendees in the meeting rooms on a first-come, first-served basis.
Quick Charge Station
Thanks to BMC Software, LISA ’12 will have a GoCharge Kiosk for quick charging of your mobile devices. It will be located in the Bay View Foyer on Monday and Tuesday, and in the Exhibit Hall (Pavilion) on Wednesday and Thursday during the vendor exhibition.
Bulletin Boards/Vendor Materials
Bulletin boards in the registration area located in the Bay View Foyer hold messages for attendees, the latest schedule of Birds-of-a-Feather sessions, and postings of job opportunities. You can pick up information on products, services, and special offers from the literature tables in the registration area.

LISA ’12 Technical Sessions and Invited Talks Videos
In keeping with the USENIX Open Access Policy, videos of the Invited Talks and paper presenations will be available to everyone shortly after they happen.
Buy the LISA ’12 Boxed Set!
For the first time ever, you can purchase the complete collection of videos from the LISA ’12 Conference! Order here at the conference and save! We’ll ship the 8GB USB drive with the MP4 files in January. For those on the go, this is the best way to watch (and re-watch) all of the tips and tricks that can be learned only at LISA. Stop by the membership booth to learn more.
Don’t Forget to Fill Out Your Tutorial Surveys!
Surveys will be placed on the chairs in your tutorial room, and can also be found in the back of the tutorial books. Your feedback is very important to us and helps us shape the future of the LISA training program. Thanks for your help!
